Frequently Asked
Questions
Clear, clinical answers — so you know exactly what to expect before you book. Serving Lake Cowichan, the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Victoria, and Powell River.
What services does Juvenescence Wellness offer?
Juvenescence Wellness offers a fully integrated range of medical aesthetics and wellness services from our Lake Cowichan clinic: NAD⁺ IV therapy (the only medically supervised NAD⁺ program on Vancouver Island), Myers' Cocktail and premium IV infusions, PRP regenerative therapy, aesthetic injectables (Botox®, Dysport®, lip filler, Radiesse®), microneedling and chemical peels, hormone optimization for men and women, medical weight loss with semaglutide and tirzepatide, and MyoActivation® chronic pain treatment. IV wellness memberships (JUVENIS, VIVUS, AETAS) and the Privé aesthetic banking membership are also available.
Is Juvenescence Wellness the only NAD⁺ IV therapy clinic on Vancouver Island?
Yes. Juvenescence Wellness in Lake Cowichan is the only Nurse Practitioner–led NAD⁺ IV therapy clinic on Vancouver Island. All NAD⁺ infusions are administered under the direct supervision of Stephanie Eschak, NP — ensuring medical-grade protocols and clinical safety. Clients travel from Nanaimo, Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, and Powell River specifically for NAD⁺ IV therapy because no comparable NP-supervised program exists elsewhere on the island.
What is NAD⁺ IV therapy and what are its benefits?
NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme essential for cellular energy production, DNA repair, and metabolic function. NAD⁺ levels decline naturally with age — contributing to fatigue, cognitive fog, and reduced cellular resilience. IV delivery bypasses the digestive system, providing full systemic absorption. At Juvenescence Wellness — Vancouver Island's only NAD⁺ IV clinic — all infusions are supervised by a Nurse Practitioner. Clients pursue NAD⁺ IV therapy for improved energy and mental clarity, cellular repair support, recovery from chronic fatigue or burnout, metabolic optimization, and complementary support alongside hormone therapy or medical weight loss programs.
Do I need a consultation before booking?
For most services, yes. A consultation allows Stephanie Eschak, NP to review your goals, medical history, and suitability, then recommend the most appropriate treatment pathway with clear expectations and outcomes. Clients travelling from Nanaimo, Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, Duncan, or Powell River are welcome to start with an in-person consultation. Some services allow direct booking for returning clients or where pre-appointment guidance is sufficient.
How does the medical weight loss program work?
Our program is clinically guided and individualized. After a thorough assessment, eligible clients may be offered evidence-based prescription options such as semaglutide (GLP-1) or tirzepatide (GLP-1/GIP), paired with structured follow-up visits and progress monitoring. The focus is sustainable metabolic support, appetite regulation, and long-term outcomes — supervised by a Nurse Practitioner. Available to clients from Lake Cowichan, the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Victoria, and Powell River.
Are treatments performed by a licensed Nurse Practitioner?
Yes. All treatments are performed by Stephanie Eschak, NP — a licensed Nurse Practitioner registered with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (BCCNM). Unlike many aesthetic clinics on Vancouver Island that delegate treatments to nurses or technicians, Juvenescence Wellness is founder-led. Your NP is present and performing your care from consultation through follow-up — not overseeing from a distance.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment focuses on clarity and personalization. You'll complete a clinical intake and review your goals and medical history with Stephanie Eschak, NP. She'll outline a personalized treatment plan with expected outcomes, timing, and aftercare. The clinic is appointment-only — ensuring a calm, private, unrushed experience. For medical programs (IV therapy, hormone optimization, or medical weight loss), baseline labs or additional clinical assessment may be recommended as a starting point.
What's the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Botox® and Dysport® are neuromodulators that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to soften dynamic expression lines — frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet. Dermal fillers (hyaluronic acid, or biostimulators like Radiesse®) restore volume and contour to areas such as lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and under-eye hollows. Many clients benefit from a balanced combination planned by their NP. At Juvenescence Wellness, injections are always performed by Stephanie Eschak, NP — not delegated to support staff.
Is there downtime after treatment?
Downtime varies by service. Botox and Dysport — minimal; mild redness or occasional bruising at injection sites. Dermal fillers — possible swelling or bruising for 2–5 days. Microneedling and chemical peels — short recovery with redness, sensitivity, or flaking. NAD⁺ and IV infusions — no meaningful downtime; most clients resume normal activity immediately after their session. Written aftercare instructions are provided for all treatments.
What is MyoActivation® and who is it for?
MyoActivation® is a specialized pain treatment technique addressing the root causes of chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain through precise needling of myofascial trigger points and scar tissue. Stephanie Eschak, NP is a registered MyoActivation practitioner — one of very few providers on Vancouver Island offering this treatment. It is ideal for clients with chronic pain, reduced mobility, sports injuries, or pain that has not responded to conventional approaches. Serving clients from Lake Cowichan, the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Victoria, Duncan, and Powell River.
What IV therapy memberships are available?
Juvenescence Wellness offers three medically supervised IV membership tiers — the only NP-led IV membership program on Vancouver Island:
JUVENIS — $139/month: 1 × Basic IV, NAD⁺ add-ons at $45/100mg, 10% off IM injections, 1-month rollover.
VIVUS — $219/month: 1 × Premium IV + 100mg NAD⁺ included, additional NAD⁺ at $35/100mg, 2-month rollover. Ideal for fatigue, perimenopause, athletic recovery.
AETAS — $315/month: 1 × Premium IV + up to 200mg NAD⁺ + Glutathione IV push, 15% off add-ons, concierge booking, quarterly optimization review, 3-month rollover. Ideal for longevity and executive health.
What is the Privé aesthetic banking membership?
The Privé membership is an invitation-only aesthetic banking program at $150/month. Members build a personal Beauty Bank toward Botox, Dysport, fillers, skin treatments, and medical-grade skincare as clinically appropriate. Member benefits include botulinum toxin locked at $9/unit, 15% off all medical-grade skincare, priority scheduling and waitlist access, and a complimentary annual skin consultation. Funds roll over while the membership is active. It is the only NP-led aesthetic banking membership on Vancouver Island.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Preparation varies by service. For NAD⁺ or IV infusions — arrive well-hydrated and having eaten a light meal. For injectables — avoid alcohol 24–48 hours beforehand and notify your NP of any blood thinners or supplements. For microneedling or chemical peels — you'll receive skincare pre-treatment instructions at booking. Personalized preparation guidance is always provided during your consultation or booking confirmation.
